Day 1 - The Right to Health
The first day of the conference was devoted to the theme of the Right to Health for persons with ID and to an overview of the resources available to them.
Day 2 - Resources
In line with the theme of the day, Resources, the second day started with a keynote speech on Policies and Resources in ID: A World Perspective, followed by two series of thematic workshops. These workshops were led by experts in each of the 8 broad themes of the WHO Atlas on Country Resources in Intellectual Disabilities. The Poster Session offered great opportunities to network and exchange information about innovative initiatives and current research from around the world. The day will close with a social event.
Day 3 - Road Maps
Under the theme of Road Maps, the participants will start their third day with a breakfast in company of the participants from their region to see how the current situation may be enhanced, taking into account the level of development described in the WHO Atlas on Country Resources in Intellectual Disabilities. After lunch, participants will discuss and adopt "road maps" that will be presented by representatives of WHO regions. These road maps will identify realistic actions that can be undertaken on a short and medium term, both at the world and regional level.
